This project has been going on from 2008. Children are the most war and draught affected section of the community.The project has different tasks on community mobilization whether is IDPs or settled duty bearer presentation on child rights, child rights advocacy for local authorities and referral support for disadvantaged war affected children
Despite the traditional elders efforts of advocacy,fundraising and assistance in the last six months for massive humanitarian needs in many regions of south/central Somalia,their traditional roles in peace building and conflict transformation activities were continued in parallel way.
SPL has completed the project of strengthening the role of youth organizations in peace building project in partnership with Oxfam Novib.
The project was one year pilot project that has started in Mogadishu from July, 2010 up to June, 2011.
Somali Peace line implemented a one year project aimed at institutionalizing the legitimate elders in Benadir (Mogadishu), Middle Shabelle, and Lower Shabelle regions.
Somali Peace Line had mediated successfully in a number of conflicts arose between some humanitarian agencies working in Somalia and the concerned communities such as Sablala district community and ACORD-Somalia,
