Somali Peace line implemented a one year project aimed at institutionalizing the legitimate elders in Benadir (Mogadishu), Middle Shabelle, and Lower Shabelle regions.
SPL has managed to establish Elders Advisory Committee (EAC), who is engaged in organizing the elders in Mogadishu to make them involve in promoting peace and stability in the capital city.
EAC succeeded in holding monthly all clan meeting for Mogadishu elders and a meeting for selected elders who participated in the National Reconciliation Conference held in Mogadishu. The participants of these meetings have underscored the relevance of working together to promote peace and harmony throughout Somalia. They exchanged their different experiences and contact addresses.
