The Somali Peace Line (SPL) organized a three-day (11th – 13th February 2023) training in Baidoa, Southwest State of Somalia. The training focused on gender mainstreaming, disability inclusion, and conflict sensitivity. Representatives from state government agencies and civil society organizations attended the training with the objective of enhancing their understanding of gender issues, the needs of people with disabilities, and the importance of incorporating conflict sensitivity in all program offerings.
At the conclusion of the training, participants expressed their appreciation to SPL for enriching their expertise and knowledge through the sessions. They demonstrated a comprehensive grasp of the concepts of gender mainstreaming, disability, and conflict sensitivity, recognizing the significance of integrating these aspects into their programs.
