On August 21, 2025, the Somali Peace Line in collaboration with theSomali Girls Rights Development Organization and the Life and Peace Initiative (LPI), hosted a Moderator’s Reflection Meeting at the Haldor Hotel in Baidoa. This event, supported by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (UNPBF), brought together 30 moderators who have been actively engaged in Sustainable Dialogue (SD) sessions.The primary objective of the meeting was to facilitate a space for moderators to reflect on their experiences from the SD sessions.
Participants engaged in meaningful discussions that focused on several key areas:
• Moderators shared positive outcomes and success stories from previous dialogue sessions, highlighting effective strategies and approaches that have worked in their respective communities.
• Attendees openly discussed the challenges they faced during the sessions, providing insight into common obstacles and barriers that hinder effective dialogue.
• The meeting served as an opportunity for moderators to identify key learning points from their experiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptation.
• Participants collaboratively brainstormed ways to enhance future dialogue sessions, aiming to implement improvements based on the insights gathered during the reflections.
The event was marked by a spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to advancing peacebuilding efforts in Somalia.
