Life skill Training for the Children

Somali Peace Line Child protection team with help of CWCs had identified 32 children selected from 7 districts in Banadir Region, in order to provide life skill training opportunity to equip the children to negotiate and mediate challenges and risks in their lives and to enable them productive participation in their respective community. these children comes from poor family those who cannot able to pay their chidren education cost and stay most of their time in their homesSPL contracted United Technical Training Action Group in Banadir region which provides life skill training for the children with duration of two months from November -to 31st December 2015.

 
Program Goal.
To assist learners to explore and develop the skill necessary for successful living and learning the better chances of an improved quality of life and better social functioning.
 
Methodologies.
The methodologies used for life skill training include presentaion, role plays, competition and Exams.
The following topics are used during the courses included
 
  1. Introduction about life skill
  2. Numeracy and Literacy
  3. Basic Mathematical calculation
  4. Problem solving, self managment and Trauma healings
  5. Dealing with people and behaviour change
  6. Leadership skills
  7. Anger managment skills and mitigation for environments
  8. Risk managment
  9. Time managment
  10. Decision making skill
 
The children are interested to attend the life skill training and are appreciating the opportunity given by the Somali Peace Line
 
SPL child Protection Programme works with, local communities, Goverment and international Organizations and to protect children from explitation, abuse and Neglect.
