Somali Peace Line (SPL), in partnership with the Life & Peace Institute (LPI) and with support from @PBF_Somalia, successfully concluded a two-day training in Galkayo focused on Youth Sensitization around key policies and legislation.
The training engaged 48 participants, including Sustained Dialogue (SD) moderators and members of the National Reconciliation Framework (NRF) network from Dhusamareb. Participants examined the National Youth Policy and NRF, emphasizing their relevance to youth empowerment, peacebuilding, and inclusive governance.
Using interactive and participatory methods, the workshop encouraged open dialogue, group reflection, and experience sharing. This approach enabled participants to connect policy concepts with real-life challenges in their communities.
By the conclusion of the training, participants demonstrated a stronger grasp of how policy frameworks shape their roles and responsibilities and expressed renewed motivation to actively engage in civic participation, peacebuilding, and governance processes.
