The child right club establishment among the targeted schools in Banadir region was carried out on the 15th – 17th days of the calendar April 2019 this was purposely aimed to create child forums among the children in the ten schools namely, Twenty December, Hamar Jabjab, Mohamud mire, Ahmed Wayel, Gashanle, Hassan Dirie, Yasin Osman, Bondhere, Karan and Qaran adding up to 150 members from the schools. The established club members are composed of gender differences hence they include eighty girls (80) and seventy boys (70), the target groups were among the vulnerable and marginalized children in the schools and among the communities in Banadir region

The child right club establishment among the targeted schools in Banadir region was carried out on the 15th – 17th days of the calendar April 2019 this was purposely aimed to create child forums among the children in the ten schools namely, Twenty December, Hamar Jabjab, Mohamud mire, Ahmed Wayel, Gashanle, Hassan Dirie, Yasin Osman, Bondhere, Karan and Qaran adding up to 150 members from the schools. The established club members are composed of gender differences hence they include eighty girls (80) and seventy boys (70), the target groups were among the vulnerable and marginalized children in the schools and among the communities in Banadir region

During the establishment process the members elected/ appointed committees including chairperson, assistant chairperson and secretary. The clubs have also set rules and regulation to guide them and came up with penalties to be adhered by those who break the law. Finally the members of the children in the schools with the technical help from the project team contributed and revised the bylaw together set by the clubs which should remain the guiding principle for the child forums/club.

During the meeting session there was frequent interaction among the children which involved sharing of knowledge and experience by any member who participated in the Children’s Group establishment session. With the help of child right governance team, the children were able to know their roles and they had full respect among themselves.

The overall objectives were as follows:

·To Establish and strengthening existing child right clubs for 10 target schools in Banadir region.

·To highlight the importance of child right clubs in the school.

·To have setting clear roles for schools.

Methodologies.

·presentations among members on the right of children& the CRG team

·Discussions and team work among the participants which enhanced sharing experience and knowledge

Session contents:

·Introductions and Opening remarks

·Re- Establishment of CRC Clubs.

·Appointment of chairperson and secretary among the clubs members

·Nomination of club Patron ( a teacher )

·Educating the children on child rights

Organizational Structure
The General Assembly is the highest body of SPL. It has a governing body, which comprises a chairman, programme manager, Admin and finance manager and project managers that mobilizes the required resources and ensures effective management of the organization.
